For a small meeting room, a 3500 to 4000 lumens projector should be sufficient. For a big boardroom, a 5000+ lumens projector is recommended.
The most common resolution is WXGA (HD in 16:10 format) and FULL HD (1080p). If the presentation material has a lot of fine detail (e.g a big Excel spreadsheet, an architectural drawing), a FULL HD projector is highly recommended.
Few specific model have a built in media player that can read MS Office Document and Picture file.
Some business projector include wireless functionality, some require a separate purchase of wireless dongle. It allows user to transmit pictures, documents to the projector wirelessly. It is supported in both PC and MAC in desktop, laptop, phone and tablet.
There are also other Pico projector (800 lumens) and Portable Business Projector (3000+ lumens upward) available for frequent travelers. Weight is less than 500 gram for Pico projector and from 1.8kg up to 2.5kg for portable projector.
